Killer Mike made headlines recently thanks to his appearance on NRA's television platform. The segment, which was aired in response to the March for Our Lives, highlighted the Run the Jewels rapper defending the 2nd Amendment; particularly arguing its importance for black people. Many in the black community wasn't here for it given the NRA's reputation with race relations. Following the backlash, the rapper eventually apologized, saying that his interview was "used as a weapon."

Apparently, still salty about the backlash he received, Killer Mike took to MSNBC correspondent and AM Joy host Joy Ann Reid's Instagram page in an attempt to call her out on what he believed to be a gross misstep on her part.

Reid initially posted a glam selfie with her hair and makeup stylists on the social media platform, according to Vulture:

Harmless, right? Well, Killer Mike saw "H&M" and went off.

“So me doing an interview about black gun ownership with the NRA is ‘bad,’ but you promoting a company that tagged a black child a monkey is ‘good,’ cool,’ and ‘acceptable,’” the rapper commented on her photo, citing the retailer's racist fiasco involving their "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle" apparel

Unfortunately for Killer Mike, Reid wasn't referring to the retailer at all. She actually meant, "H&M," as in "hair and makeup."

Reid has since deleted her response to the rapper, but it originally read in part: "'H&M’ stands for ‘hair and makeup,’ Mike … And here I was thinking you were an intellectual, and not just the guy who hangs out in the sunken place talking guns with the NRA’s ‘official black guy’ who literally changed his last name to ‘black.’”

Womp.

Of course, Twitter was here for the entertaining shenanigans:

Killer Mike later admitted he had "egg on [his] face," apologized and offered to sit down with Reid to have a detailed discussion:

No official word yet on whether or not their convo will happen on AM Joy. Stay tuned!
