Toward the end of January, Lil Wayne announced he would hit the road in the spring for his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour. When the news dropped, fans were surprised and excited to grab tickets to see the 40-year-old rapper-turned-mogul perform since he rarely tours these days. Unfortunately, on May 13, during the final stop of the 38-city tour, he disappointed his fans, who paid their hard-earned money to see him at Los Angeles‘ Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. According to fans, despite a late start, things seem to be going smoothly before taking a turn for the worse.

Lil Wayne, who sported a LA Lakers jersey to pay homage to the late Kobe Bryant, was welcomed by an energetic audience. Fans got even more hype when 2 Chainz came out as a special guest during the first half hour of the concert, Bossip reported. However, the atmosphere quickly changed when Lil Wayne took an intermission to let his Young Money artists perform a few of their own tracks. In a video circulating on Twitter, he returned to the stage to cut his artist Allan Cubas’ performance short and share a few words before dropping the mic on stage to signal the rest of the show was canceled.

“We appreciate it, but we ain’t about to be bending over backward for these folks. We work too hard for this s**t. We work way too hard. This my muthaf**king artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y’all time,” he is seen telling the crowd in the 13-second clip. In complete shock, fans immediately turned to social media to share their disdain for the way Lil Wayne handled the situation just because the audience didn’t go wild while his artists performed. Lil Wayne himself hasn’t responded to the backlash he’s receiving from fans for canceling his LA concert. What do you think?
