Madame Tussauds is back to their white antics, again. The museum unveiled their new wax figure of rapper Nicki Minaj at their Berlin, Germany, location on Tuesday.

The figure, which looks whitewashed and barely resembles the music icon, is being slammed by her fans, Billboard reports. 

The statue is dressed in a gold chain bra with black underwear that resembles Minaj’s outfit in her 2014 “Anaconda” music video. The “Super Bass” rapper’s wax figure is several shades lighter than the 37-year-old. Additionally, the shape of her face and eyes completely misses the mark.

Fans of the rapper were left confused by the eerily white statue. One fan tried to consider the only possible explanation behind the disaster. 

“Nicki Minaj is so ethereally beautiful that nobody can recreate her, that’s why all her wax figures look off,” a fan wrote. 

The wax figure in Berlin, however, is similar to the statue of the rapper at the Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas which was revealed in 2015. 

According to The Guardian, Minaj said she loved the wax figure in Las Vegas at the time of its unveiling. Shortly after the Las Vegas figure was revealed, the museum said they would be redesigning the set after fans began taking provocative pictures with the statue.

One fan posed for a picture standing behind the wax figure in a sexually suggestive position while grabbing its hair. The museum released a statement after the picture started to circulate online.

“It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we [apologize] for any [offense] this has caused,” the museum said. “We do have staff monitoring guest [behavior] in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures are treated respectfully, but on this occasion clearly one of our hosts was not present.”

Madame Tussauds isn’t only missing the mark with Minaj, though. The museum had hiccups with trying to get it right with Beyoncé's wax figure, as Blavity previously reported.

Back in 2019, the museum finally unveiled a decent figure that the Beyhive could be proud of. However, there were still some pieces of the set that were off, according to fans on Twitter. 

The 38-year-old’s backup dancers, including Ashley Everett, looked white. 

The figure which honors the singer’s iconic Beychella performance included her cropped sweatshirt, denim jean shorts and knee-high boots. 

The statue was rightfully placed among the royal family including Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle. 

“It’s time to bow down to the queen,” the museum said in their post unveiling the figure. 

The museum hasn't released a statement about the backlash of their newest figure, but it's clear that a redo is needed.
