Kaladaa Crowell and her young daughter Kyra Inglett were murdered in cold bold last month after reportedly being gunned down by Marlin Larice Joseph who was enraged over what he calls the 11-year-old’s “bad attitude.” According to the Palm Beach Post, the 26-year-old alleged gunman first shot Crowell then chased down her daughter leaving them both dead as he fled the scene.

The mother of the alleged gunman, Robin Denson, who was also the girlfriend of the 36-year-old victim pleaded with her son to turn himself in during a press conference held on Dec. 30, 2017. “Marlin, son, I love you,” she said. “You know I love you, but please, turn yourself in. If you’re scared to do so, call me.” She added, “I want justice for my girlfriend and her daughter. He’s my son and I love him, but I also loved them too.”

While Joseph ignored his mother's plea to turn himself in, he was arrested last Tuesday in Lake Worth on two first-degree murder charges. According to the Palm Beach Post, the arrest took place a couple of hours after authorities caught his cousin using his credit card at a gas station.

Joseph is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without the possibility of posting bond.
