Carey was delivering her own rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” when she stepped aside and let her son take center stage. Moroccan rapped a verse as part of the holiday-themed track, mic in hand. His mother looked at him in encouragement, while the backup dancers hyped up his performance.

The crowd cheered on as Moroccan exited the stage after ending his cameo. The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer delivered the Christmas concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Nov. 17.

Carey shares twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with her ex-husband. She and Cannon were married from 2008 to 2016. The father recently shared that Carey tries to keep her family life private by not posting their children on social media often.

“I love it, but Mariah is more of a private person, which I understand,” Cannon said during an appearance on The Jason Lee Podcast last May.

“It’s a balance, it’s alignment. I let them run,” he said about Moroccan liking to go on Twitch from time to time. “They make TikTok videos with me and do all this stuff. And they do it with Mariah too, but I let them have a little bit more freedom, especially stepping into the place of being almost teenagers.”
