On May 10 in Detroit, the McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel tour will kick off for the 11th year. It’s the longest-running brand-owed gospel tour, and it features some of the most popular and inspiring gospel singers in the industry. The theme this year is “Unstoppable.” Throughout the show, attendees will be inspired by the power of what can happen when you show determination and push through hardships and challenges. It will be an empowering show to say the least.
This tour, an extension of 365Black, is a chance to enjoy good music, support charities and have some well-deserved laughs. 365Black is the brand’s initiative to celebrate the pride, heritage and achievements of African-Americans all year long. And this is one major part of that.
Multi-award winning gospel superstar Tye Tribbett will be joined by fellow musicians, songwriters, comedians and more. The tour is well-rounded to say the least, providing a little bit of everything for everybody in attendance. Comedian Small Fire, music director and songwriter Donald Lawrence, singer Jekalyn Carr, radio personality and artist Lonnie Hunter and many more will be a part of the production, which not only provides entertainment but also serves the community.
The tour supports Ronald McDonald House Charities and over the past five years has raised $510,500 for the cause. This is enough money to fund more than 6,300 nights at Ronald McDonald Houses for families with sick children. Throughout the tour itself, attendees will be informed of ways they can support RMHC. This event is just one of the ways that McDonald’s is looking to serve and impact the communities the business is in in positive ways.
