nullAnother key character from the DC Batman universe is heading to Gotham. Chris Chalk has been cast as Lucius Fox – Wayne Enterprises’ resident tech genius as well as a moral beacon for a young Bruce Wayne –  in the Fox drama series (this comes as Jada Pinkett Smith’s season 1 exit is a hot topic of conversation among fans of the series).

Chalk takes on a role that Morgan Freeman played in the Christopher Nolan era of Batman movies, and is set to make his first appearance towards the end of the current first season, in episode 21, with an option to return in Season 2.

The first season order originally consisted of 16 episodes, but was later extended to 22. Gotham premiered on Fox on September 22, 2014. On January 17, 2015, the series was renewed for a second season.

Chalk was last seen on the small screen, in a recurring role on HBO’s "The Newsroom."

He’ll next be seen on the big screen opposite Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez, in the revenge thriller, "Lila & Eve."
