NBA player Sterling Brown was tased on video by Milwaukee police officers, and as more information comes to light about the incident, so has information about Sterling's family.

In case you don't know, Sterling is the younger brother of two-time NBA champ Shannon Brown! And some of you may know Shannon is the husband of R&B singer Monica, which makes Sterling her brother-in-law.

Back in February, Shannon wished his younger brother a happy birthday on Instagram and expressed how proud he was of him.

@SterlingBrown23 Happy Birthday. You growing up on me. I’m proud of you. Keep going.

And to round it out, Monica was here for her brother-in-law, as well.

"Happy Birthday @sterlingbrown3 … I love you and I'm proud of you!!!," wrote the R&B singer in February 2017. "You will be great in all you do because you dedicate yourself to who & what you love! Enjoy your day! Love Big Sis."

Following the very disturbing video police footage released of Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown being tased by Milwaukee police officers for what appears to be no reason, the Associated Press reports Milwaukee police chief Alfonso Morales has apologized to Brown for the officers' behavior. Morales confirmed the cops in the video have been disciplined.

“The department conducted an investigation into the incident, which revealed members acted inappropriately and those members were recently disciplined,” Morales noted at the news conference. “I am sorry this incident escalated to this level."

Milwaukee NAACP president Fred Royal told the AP there no reason for a stun gun to be used based on the footage, noting he found it “disturbing that an officer would incite an argument over a parking citation.”

“What should have been a simple parking ticket turned into an attempt at police intimidation, followed by the unlawful use of physical force, including being handcuffed and tased, and then unlawfully booked,” Sterling said in his official statement. “This experience with the Milwaukee Police Department has forced me to stand up and tell my story so that I can help prevent these injustices from happening in the future.”
