NBC has ordered "Go Jerrod Go" (working title) to series, greenlighting 6 episodes of the comedy starring comedian Jerrod Carmichael, based on his comedy and life, following a young couple who decide to move in together, and all the ups and downs doing so can often create.

Joining Carmichael in front of the camera are David Alan Grier, Loretta Devine, Lil Rel, and Amber West, playing his father, mother, brother and girlfriend respectively.

“We’re excited to be going forward to series with Jerrod,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see how he and his outstanding cast deliver the funny.”

The series is exec-produced by Carmichael, Nick Stoller and Ravi Nandan.

I’d assume if the 6-episodes ordered perform well, NBC will order more episodes.
