Three friends take their reggeaton dreams to the big time in the first trailer for Netflix’s new comedy series Neon, executive produced by Daddy Yankee.

Netflix has released the first-look images and trailer for the upcoming reggaeton-themed feel-good series starring Tyler Dean Flores, Emma Ferreira, Jordan Mendoza and Courtney Taylor. The series follows Santi, who wants to become the next reggaeton star, and just might make it with the help of his friends. As the description states:

From small-town Florida to the bustling beaches and bright lights of Miami, Neon follows three friends as they hustle their way to making it big in the world of reggaeton. The eight-episode comedy captures not only the three besties’ larger-than-life dreams, but also the harsh realities and funny mishaps of surviving the music industry. Tyler Dean Flores plays Santi, a rising reggaeton artist who, with the help of his friends Ness (Emma Ferreira), Felix (Jordan Mendoza), and A&R rep Mia (Courtney Taylor), hopes to become the biggest star in reggaeton. Or at least pay his rent.

Neon is co-created by Shea Serrano and Max Searle, who also serves as the series showrunner. Executive producing with Daddy Yankee is Serrano, Searle, SB Projects and Anne Clements. The series’ music producers are Tainy and Lex Borrero of record label Neon16 and Ivan Rodriguez, who serves as co-founder and chief creative officer of music talent agency Ntertain (also co-founded with Borrero and Tainy). The group is collectively known as Tainy & One Six. Music supervisors include One Six of Neon16 and Ntertain (aka Borrero and Rodriguez) and Joe Rodriguez and Javier Nuno of Indice.

Fans can get an early listen to the sound of Neon via the Neon Official Playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. The playlist includes original song “Exagerao,” produced by Tainy.
