Some more TV related news this afternoon…

First, Nick Cannon has signed a first-look production deal with NBC, to develop scripted and unscripted programming for the network.

Cannon is already quite busy with several projects for different platforms, including a sequel to 2002's Drumline, which he's directing, as well as the reboot of MTV's Wild ‘n Out, just to name 2.

nullSecondly, Donald Faison has been tapped to host TBS's new comedy Who Gets the Last Laugh? – a hidden camera show, featuring comedians playing practical jokes on an unsuspecting public – from Punk'd co-creators Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg.

It's scheduled to debut in the spring of 2013, and will feature the likes of Andy Dick, Tom Green, D.L. Hughley, Chris Kattan, Bam Margera and Cheri Oteri as just some of the celebrity pranksters.

The winner of each episode gets $10,000 for the charity of their choice.

Up next for Faison,  the sequel to 2010's Kick-Ass, playing a character named Doctor Gravity

He also currently stars in The Exes, on TVLand.
