A double-shot of Nicole Ari Parker today; earlier was the announcement that she's starring alongside Danny Glover, Giancarlo Esposito and Sean Faris in what's being dubbed a "sexy, urban drama of the film noir genre" titled Burn.
And now this news…
Parker has been cast as a leads in the NBC drama pilot for the thriller, The Secret Lives Of Husbands And Wives, which centers on "a murder and the secrets and lies within a tightly woven group of three suburban couples and their families exposed in its aftermath," says Deadline.
Ms Parker will play Paula, half of one of the 3 couples, described as "a tough and strikingly beautiful trophy wife who, after twelve years of a troubled marriage, questions whether to stay with her husband because of love or respect… all while having no idea that he is financially ruined."
Parker joins the already-cast Perrey Reeves in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced soap.
Parker, who recently wrapped a lauded performance on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire, also has Vipaka, with Forest Whitaker, Sanaa Lathan and Anthony Mackie, coming up.
