Nike’s “Just Do It” television commercial has hit the net, and it’s a tear-jerker.
Nike dropped the ad on its website, and Colin Kaepernick posted it on his Twitter account.
The commercial features several clips of inspirational athletes as Kaepernick’s narration encourages viewers to follow their dreams.
“If people say your dreams are crazy, if they laugh at what you think you can do, good, stay that way,” the quarterback says. “Because what nonbelievers don’t understand is that calling a dream crazy isn’t an insult, it’s a compliment.”
The clips feature a mix of celebrities and lesser-knowns. Serena Williams and LeBron James are side-by-side with one-handed NFL rookie Shaquem Griffin and nine-year-old wrester Isaiah Bird. James and Williams have publicly supported Kaepernick’s partnership with Nike.
James reposted the ad featuring on Instagram on Tuesday, captioning it “Just. Do. It." with a power fist emoji:
On Monday, Williams tweeted an editorial ad featuring a childhood picture of herself and said she was “especially proud to be a part of the Nike family today.”
