Just like many of us, Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer is excited about the release of the most anticipated film of the year, Black Panther.

Spencer always finds ways to exemplify black girl magic on all levels. The days leading up to the release of Proud Mary, she broke down the significance of seeing black movies on opening night and how it could eventually close the wage gap for black women in Hollywood.

On January 31, Octavia Spencer took to her Instagram account to announce that she will be in Mississippi on Black Panther's debut night. With that being said, she plans on buying out a theatre in an underserved community to ensure that "all our brown children can see themselves as a superhero."

Spencer is no stranger to putting her money where her mouth is. Last January, she bought out screenings of Hidden Figures in low-income areas in Los Angeles because she wanted people to have the chance to see such an inspiring film. A lot of her co-stars participated in the movement so it'll be interesting to see who follows suit this time around.
