Odell Beckham Jr. and his girlfriend Lauren Wood have welcomed their first baby together. The couple announced the birth of their child, Zydn, on Wednesday.
"2-17-22, 0605. THE biggest blessing I've ever had in my life arrived here on earth!" Beckham wrote in a post on Instagram.
The Instagram photo shows the couple snuggling up on a couch with their newborn.
"The words, I can't even put together for the overwhelming emotions that ran thru me … a moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Zydn was born n at that moment I knew my life changed for the better," the NFL star wrote. "Lauren Wood, u changed my life forever and delivered the most beautiful gift of all… EFFORTLESSLY! Ur strength throughout this gives me the courage to keep goin because i now kno with u by my side and holding it down for me, I can get thru anything. I love u so much."
Wood, a fitness trainer and model, first announced her pregnancy in November, sharing black and white maternity photos she took with Beckham.
As Blavity previously reported, the Los Angeles Rams receiver was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his baby after winning the Super Bowl earlier this month. The football star was also hoping that his son wouldn't be born during the big game.
“I think God’s got a different plan,” he said, according to WSOC-TV. “I don’t need it during the Super Bowl. I want to be able to see my child being born.”
The 29-year-old had his hands full while preparing for the Super Bowl and the arrival of his child.
"That’s a lot of blessings all in at one time,” he said. “I thought about that last night. I’m like, man, it really is a lot … for one person to handle and hold onto.”
In his Instagram post on Tuesday, Beckham showed gratitude for the blessings in his life and reflected on the difficulties he has overcome in his journey.
"I'm just sticking to the script and seeing where God will take me," he wrote. "Honestly I’ve been through so much to get to where im at.. I duggg deep, and figured out a lot about myself along the way."
