Offset is getting creative when it comes to promoting new music.

According to Today, the rapper shared a video on Monday of him parodying James Brown’s infamous 1988 CNN interview after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his then-wife, Adrienne Rodriguez. In the clip, the “Clout” rapper wore a tan jacket, neckerchief and orange-tinted sunglasses reminiscent of the singer’s ensemble in ’88.

“Your fans are saying that there’s a lot of drama between you and your beautiful wife, Cardi B,” actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who made a cameo in the video as interviewer Sonia Friedman, said.

Like Brown, Offset kept it ambiguous when Curtis alluded to rumored issues with his wife, Cardi B. He laughed at Curtis’ speculation for a little too long, which pushed Curtis to accuse him of not answering the question.

“There’s no problems,” he finally confessed.

Curtis wasn’t buying it.

“She seems upset, Offset,” she said.

The rapper borrowed a line Brown used in his interview in response.

“I’m out on love,” he exclaimed.

Curtis rebuffed his comment.

“But you didn’t answer really my question, Offset,” she said.

Offset replied by singing, “Alone from night to night, you’ll find me.”

The father-of-four concluded the spoof by saying, “Let’s talk about some music.”

The screen then went black with “July 28th” written across it.

Cardi B seemed to love the video, sharing it on her Instagram Stories with laughing emoji.

She wrote along with the clip, “lmaaaoooooooo….I can’t wait!!!”

Other celebrities support the unique promotion clip, sharing their praise in the comments.

“Yoooooooooo!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣” rapper Ludacris commented.

“🔥🔥 this a classic remake! 😂🤣,” R&B crooner Omarion wrote.

“😂😂😂😂 let’s goooooo,” singer Chloe Bailey wrote.

Offset isn’t the first celeb to parody Brown’s interview. Nope’s Jordan Peele took on playing the “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” singer in 2016.
