Jackson's family honored the star with tributes as well. The king's sister, Janet Jackson, honored her brother's memory by combining his popular 1992 music video for "Remember The Time," with music from her recent hit, "Made For Now."

This love has us reminiscing about the time they did an iconic dance duet for "Scream." Aw!

Akon, who collaborated with Jackson on 2010's "Hold My Hand," tweeted out this sweet tribute:

Unmatched entertainer and creator Debbie Allen might have put it best by tweeting a perfect mantra: "We speak your name. We speak your name."

Motown icon Smokey Robinson posted a nostalgic picture of the two together:

And the Blacksonian was here to represent, too!

NBC Sports' Aaron Fentress decided he could show us his respect better than he could tell us!

The Queen of Television saluted the King of Pop with footage of a wonderful interview:

Oh, and remember when Stephanie Mills properly gathered Sam Smith for daring to speak ill of Jackson's catalog? Best believe she posted a fabulous tribute, as well.

Rest in pop stardom, Michael Jackson. Happy Birthday.
