If you don’t remember Phony Ppl, that’s probably because they’ve been virtually M.I.A since the instant goodness of their 2015 debut, Yesterday’s Tomorrow. The troupe creates atmospheric jams with a hint of sweetness. A trait you can see squarely in “This Must Be Heaven.” Their absence has been notable, but they’re actually going to be on tour around the West Coast very soon with performances scheduled up and down the coast. First stop is at the Social Hall in San Francisco on the 9th. Then, hopefully, a quick flight to San Diego to play a show at the House of Blues on the November 10th. After that, it’s up the San Diego Freeway to hit the Observatory in Santa Ana on the 11th. The final of the four shows will be in LA at Exposition Park.
