A group of British teenagers filmed themselves harassing a disabled woman, and the backlash has forced them into hiding.

The teens pelted an elderly woman with flour and eggs as she sat on a park bench on Friday, July 27. After they were done, they decided to document their handiwork by taking a selfie with the distressed woman. The picture circulated widely and the kids, two 15-year-olds and two 17-year-olds, were arrested, according to Unilad.

The boys cannot be officially identified due to their ages, but their names leaked online. Social media influencer Robin Armstrong posted a video about the incident, vowing to track the boys down.

“You scummy little w******. You deserve to have your heads ripped off your shoulders,” Armstrong said in the video. “I've got your names now, so I'm going to put your names in the comments and your profiles in the comments. You're going to be chased out of your city – hunted down.”

The attention has led to death threats.

“We can’t say anything about what went on over the weekend but my son’s name has been leaked over the internet, and we’ve had threats,” one boy’s mother told the Daily Mail.

She added her family has been granted police protection and have access to a hotline if anything pops off. The mom says the drama has put a damper on the kid’s birthday.

“This isn’t what we need. It’s my son’s 16th birthday, and we’ve got family here for his party,” she said.

Another parent said he made his son go straight to the police station when he found out what he did. He claimed his son didn’t throw food but only took the selfie. He added that the boy is grounded indefinitely and joining the picture “was an idiotic thing to do.” His family is also battling threats.

“There’s no way he’s going out for the next few weeks unless I’m with him – both to keep an eye on him and to make sure he is safe from people who want to take revenge,” the dad said. "There’s been death threats made against him online, and we’ve told the police about it. He’s at home at the moment, and that’s where he’s staying.”

A stepmom of one of the boys said her kid was a “stupid boy” for participating, but she also claimed he didn’t throw anything.

The victim, who suffers from an unnamed mental illness, has also been keeping a low profile due to trauma from being attacked.

“I don't consider it acceptable, but I don't particularly want to escalate the current tension in the area. I've got to be careful with how I deal with things obviously,” she said.
