Oprah usually gets the story, but she’s about to be the story.
Deadline reports that the former talk show host and current media mogul will be joining the crew of the CBS show The Talk to chat about her newest moves.
Deepening her relationship with CBS, Oprah will discuss her new job on the Sunday magazine 60 Minutes — she’s been hired to be a special correspondent for the show.
Too, Winfrey will share her experiences working on a new film for HBO called The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.
All you scientists out there know that name well, but to recap briefly for everyone else, Henrietta Lacks is the human origin of the HeLa cell line that is used by medical researchers the world over. Many breakthroughs have been made using Lacks’ cells, including the development of the polio vaccine, the development of AIDS medication and cloning advances. The trick, however, is that they were taken from her without her permission.

Oprah plays Lacks’ daughter Deborah in the new film, which follows Deborah learning more about her mother after the woman’s death (Henrietta lacks died of cancer in 1951), and the family’s investigation into the scientific community’s unauthorized use of Henrietta’s flesh.

The film will premiere on HBO on April 22, and you can catch Oprah on The Talk on April 17.
