Porsha Williams is giving thoughts on what she wants to see on season 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, even though she has departed the show.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta shocked when Williams announced that she would not return for Season 14. Williams has been a staple on the show since Season 5, becoming a fan favorite over that time. But Williams remains a fan of the franchise that started it all for her. She says she will be tuning in to the upcoming season and there’s one thing she hopes to see.
Porsha Williams wants to see more sisterhood from the cast
Williams may no longer be a cast member, but she will be watching. During a recent chat with E! News, Williams spoke about what she wants to see from the storylines this upcoming season. “The number one thing I love about Housewives is when we are celebrating the sisterhood of it all. So I do hope that’s what they’re getting back to. I’m not really into the dark seasons where it just gets so deep into the drama. I want to see the sisterhood. I just want to celebrate the women this season. I hope that’s what it’s about.”
Williams has had her fair share of fights. The Go Naked Hair founder has gotten into at least three physical alterations during her nearly 10-year run on RHOA. She famously fought longtime nemesis Kenya Moore during the season 6 reunion, straddled Cynthia Bailey on a yacht during Season 8, and previously unseen footage showed her chasing a friend down the alley at a finale Christmas party the same season.
Despite Williams wanting to see more unity on 'RHOA,' fans criticized her limited series, 'Porsha’s Family Matters.'
Tensions flared between her and her ex-fiance, Dennis McKinley, over past issues in their relationship and McKinnley’s criticism of her new relationship with Simon Guobadia.
After getting into a physical altercation with McKinley that sparked backlash from viewers, Williams offered an explanation. In a lengthy Instagram post, Williams wrote in part.
“There is a lot that viewers didn’t get to see tonight and I wish we had more cameras to capture that, which I understand is nobody’s fault,” she wrote, The Jasmine Brand reported. “I’ve learned in the past that physical violence is never okay, especially when a man is causing physical harm to women. That is something we are too desensitized to as a society. I take accountability for reacting strongly to what I was seeing and hearing. While I was not physical with Ms. Gina, I regret arguing with an elder. We’re six months removed from this incident and I’m looking forward, not backwards.”
