nullAdult Swim has renewed its new Aaron McGruder series "Black Jesus" and "Mike Tyson Mysteries" for second seasons.

McGruder’s live-action "Jesus" finds the son of God living in present day Compton, CA, on a daily mission to spread love and kindness throughout the neighborhood, with the help of his small but loyal group of downtrodden followers.

Newcomer Gerald "Slink" Johnson stars as "Black Jesus." 

Charlie Murphy, Corey Holcomb, John Witherspoon, Kali Hawk, Andra Fuller, Antwon Tanner, Andrew Bachelor, Angela Gibbs, and Valenzia Algarin round out the starring cast.

McGruder is executive producer through his 5 Mutts Productions, along with director Mike Clattenburg, LEG’s Norman Aladjem, John Bravakis and Stu Schreiberg, with Robert Wise and Meghann Collin.

Meanwhile, "Mike Tyson Mysteries," is a half-hour animated adult comedy series featuring a cartoon version of Mike Tyson, who solves mysteries, aided by the Mike Tyson Mystery Team, which is made up of the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury, Mike’s adopted Korean daughter, and a pigeon who was once a man.

Mike Tyson, Norm Macdonald, Rachel Ramras, and Jim Rash provide voice for the series’ animated characters.
