Music streaming platform Spotify has recently hinted that it will be acquiring the rights to Prince's catalog. Cryptic ads have been released featuring the service's logo with Prince's signature purple hue as the backdrop.

If confirmed, this could be a huge win for the Spotify team as well as a much needed energy boost for Prince fans all over the world. Outside of Tidal, his catalog in its entirety hasn't been available to stream since July 2015. Speculation alone has got everyone on the edge of their seats.

In addition to Spotify, Prince's music will soon be on other streaming services. Apple Music confirmed this afternoon that they have reached a deal with his estate. Although the Prince estate has yet to give a statement, it's alleged that the streaming deals will be officially announced in time for the 39th Annual Grammys.

In light of all the heavy news the past few weeks, this could be one of the best wins of 2017 thus far.
