Rapper Cornell Haynes Jr., better known as “Nelly,” attended the NASCAR playoffs and gave one fan a memory they’ll never forget.

The St. Louis native made an appearance at the Bank of America Roval Playoffs inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway. While walking through the pit, Nelly was told one of his biggest fans was in his vicinity. This stopped him in his tracks to greet and talk to the young fan — who was disabled.

During the interaction, the “Hot In Herre” rapper smiled from ear to ear before giving the fan a special gift that was captured on camera by onlookers. He took off the jacket he was wearing so he could give it to the young man.

“You got that vest on you, but I’m going to give you this jacket,” he told the fan. “My guy, you hold it down, OK?”

The fan was so surprised that he couldn’t contain his excitement when he realized what was happening. Seeing the shock on his face, the 47-year-old told him he felt the same way before placing the jacket on the fan.

What made the moment even better was that it was the lucky fan’s birthday, which he acknowledged.

“Happy birthday brother,” Nelly said.

The touching moment warmed the hearts of all who witnessed it, which made them love the rap legend even more.
