But nothing was more damaging than the issues between her and Kandi Burruss. Their relationship remained strained on and off for several seasons. But thanks to a producer on the show, things got back on track.
Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams’ friendship was tested during Season 9
When Williams joined the cast in Season 5, Burruss was immediately supportive. She even was a shoulder to cry on for Williams when Williams was going through her divorce from Kordell Stewart. But as Burruss and her former BFF Phaedra Parks drifted apart and Williams grew closer to Parks, Williams’ friendship with Burruss was also torn.
Burruss felt that Williams took Parks’ side. Williams felt that Parks needed a friend more than Burruss and didn’t like certain actions she says Burruss did to Parks. During a heated exchange between Parks and Williams, she told Burruss that she heard a rumor that Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker wanted to drug her in order to take advantage of her sexually. Burruss denied such. In retaliation, Burruss revealed that Williams kissed her one evening during a night off at the club and propositioned her.
During the Season 9 reunion, Williams revealed that Burruss sent her a cease and desist. As a result, she made the shocking announcement that Parks was behind the nasty rumors to begin with.
Producer reveals he helped orchestrate a truce between Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss the next season
Needless to say, Burruss was unforgiving of Williams by the time filming for Season 10 began. Despite Williams offering an apology to Burruss on more than one occasion, the Bedroom Kandi owner needed more time.
Throughout the following season, a producer on the show who worked will Williams since she joined the cast is claiming that the cards were stacked unfairly against Williams. He took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes info, as reported by Urban Belle Magazine. As a result, he gave Williams a heads up about a plot against her to help make things better with Williams and her co-stars.
“I secretly produced a scene with Porsha during Season 10 and didn’t tell the Executive Producers,” he wrote. “They were trying to play Porsha on the San Francisco trip with Kandi @Kandi and I went to Porsha’s room and told her how we were going to play production since they were playing her and setting her up to look bad.”
He continued, “I wrote a play that would stop her and Kandi from beefing. I had Porsha unexpectedly apologize to Kandi during Kenya’s fake wedding and it threw the entire storyline off because Kandi accepted her apology and they got cordial on the trip, and the Executive Producers had no idea I set that up with Porsha. I was tired of them making her cry. Rating Rats!!! Porsha and I held that secret and laugh at their a*ses to this day about that!”
Williams or Burruss have yet to address the post.
