Oscar-winning comedienne Mo'Nique came for journalist Roland S. Martin on Twitter on the heels of her call for a Netflix boycott over what she believes to be wage discrimination.

On Friday, the outspoken entertainer replied to a tweet where Martin was praising the work of a local North Carolina organization fighting gerrymandering and working to expand voting rights.

In that tweet, Mo'Nique questioned Martin's fight for equality for women. She referenced her call for a Netflix boycott after the mega-streaming service only offered to pay her $500,000 for a standup special. Her passionate video gained the support of comedienne Wanda Sykes and actress Jada Pinkett Smith who came to Mo'Nique's defense against critics.

The tweet would eventually get to Martin. However, in the meantime, fans called out Mo'Nique's public criticism of Martin.

When Martin replied, he let it be known that he has been actively standing up for black women, giving them a voice on his news program and fighting for black women his entire career.

Even Martin's fans are not entirely sure she took the best avenue to criticize the longtime journalist.
