nullSalli Richardson is the first star to be cast in Lifetime's one-hour pilot The Secret Lives of Wives. The project, written by Jill Gordon and executive produced by Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz, centers on the lives of four marriages and the real truth behind them.

According to Deadline, Wives provides an "honest portrayal of the ultimate challenge every relationship faces – emotional and sexual longevity."

Richardson is slated to play Reed, one of the wives, who is professionally known as "The Siren." Reed is described as a "sultry host of a call-in radio show that caters to women’s fantasies." But Reed's radio show personality proves problematic to her already troubled 17-year long marriage.

Supposedly, Richardson chose this Lin Pictures and Warner Horizon project over a similarly titled NBC off-cycle pilot The Secret Lives Of Husbands And Wives, due to her longtime relationship with Nina Lederman, Lifetime's series development head, and after meeting with the network's producers.

As announced on November of last year, Richardson, along with Rockmond Dunbar, James Hayman and Craig Dorfman, is currently working on the TV adaptation of Pastor Brown, a feature directed by Dunbar and written by Rhonda Baraka (Trinity Goodheart).

In Pastor Brown, to be distributed by Arc Entertainment sometime this year, Richardson will play Jessica "Jesse" Brown, an exotic dancer returning home after more than a decade when her father becomes ill.  She is also in the process of developing a Lena Horne stage show.
