Authorities in Osceola County, Florida have released a missing adult alert, asking the public to provide any information on the disappearance of a 30-year-old Black woman.

Sheriff Marcos R. Lopez and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday Latiyfa Hewitt was last seen on Sunday near a home in the Cabots Cliffs area of Kissimmee, Click Orlando reported.

The alert was posted to the sheriff’s department’s Twitter and Facebook.

Hewitt’s family said they contacted police on Monday after she never returned from going shopping at a local Publix at Champions Gate Village.

According to the family, they were in town from North Carolina and staying at a local Airbnb where Hewitt was staying with them. On the day of her disappearance, they told authorities she left their vacation rental around 8 p.m. to head to the store.

They were later told by deputies it’s possible she never made it there.

Authorities said Hewitt was last seen driving a 2020 black Jeep Cherokee with South Carolina tags. According to the missing person alert, she was wearing a pink T-shirt that said “Unicorn Squad,” paired with black tights and white Air Force Ones. Hewitt also wore earrings with the word "boujie" on them.

On Twitter, a woman who identifies Hewitt as her friend’s sister, posted pictures of the alert on Wednesday asking the public to help locate her.

“We need help finding her please, please, please if you’ve seen her reach out to myself or the police,” she wrote.

A public forum on Lipstick Alley also shared the flyer.

“I hope she makes it home safe,” the team’s owner, Pearl Shay, posted.

“That's terrifying that this is right at home. I'll try to find local updates,” another user wrote.

As of Thursday, Hewitt has now been missing over 72 hours.
