The Seattle Seahawks are taking the protest and their desire for change to the next level. After sitting out the national anthem before Sunday's game, the players took to social media on Friday to announce they're starting the Seahawks Players Equality & Justice for All Action Fund to address inequality and injustice.

Like most of the league, the Seahawks joined the protest during the national anthem on Sunday and individual players, including Michael Bennett and Richard Sherman, have spoken out about the protest against racism and injustice in America, which Colin Kaepernick started during the 2016 season.
A number of players joined Kaepernick in kneeling or sitting during the national anthem during the 2016 NFL season, but hundreds of players recently participated in the protest after President Donald Trump attacked football players who protest, calling them SOBs.
The action fund is a part of the Seattle Foundation and is a public nonprofit. According to The News Tribune, the action fund is believed to be the first of its kind, and the Seahawks hope to expand it to other pro leagues in America. The players invite others to join them in this initiative by donating to assist in their efforts.
