The short story goes… if you watch Hawaii Five-0, during the January 20th episode, you'll be the first folks to hear seven previously ureleased Jimi Hendrix tracks.

It was first reported last November that a new Jimi Hendrix album, titled People, Hell and Angels, and which will contain 12 previously unreleased tracks recorded in 1968 and '69, will be released in March.

Hendrix is said to have recorded the songs seperately from the Jimi Hendrix Experience, as he was toying with new, experimental directions with his music.

The special episode of  Hawaii Five-O, airing during the 10 pm time slot, comes on right after the AFC championship football game, considered a favorable slot, since there could be some audience spill-over from those who watched the game, giving that episode a boost in ratings.

Although, now that it's been made public that the episode will debut seven unreleased Hendrix tracks from the upcoming new album, I'd guess that there'll be many who will tune in anyway, just to hear the tracks.

The Hawaii Five-0 audience will be treated to the following unreleased songs: Bleeding HeartMojo ManHey Gypsy BoyInside OutCrash LandingHear My Train A-Comin’ and Somewhere.

Any Hawaii Five-0 watchers? Tried a few episodes; didn't dig it, so I moved on.
