The Shonda Rhimes train keeps on powering ahead, so you can either get out of the way (assuming you’re in front of it), jump on-board for the ride, or just watch from the platform as it speeds on by.

Via her production company, Shondaland, Rhimes and producing partner Betsy Beers have sold yet another project to ABC – an untitled cop drama written by Dana Calvo (Made in Jersey, Franklin & Bash).

The series will be set in one Miami, FL, and will follow the pairing of a detective with unconventional methods, and his new conservative by-the-book partner, as they solve cases.

Rhimes and Beers will exec produce via Shondaland.

This marks the latest project on Shondaland’s ever-growing slate, which also includes, most recently, Rhimes returning to her feature film *roots* to write the screenplay for a drama titled War Correspondents, which will center on women war correspondents, for Sony’s Columbia Pictures; and she also recently sold another new project to ABC, via Shondaland, that has been put into development, titled Lawless, to be written by KJ Steinberg (Mistresses), inspired by the real life of trucker-turned-lawyer Wynona Ward, founder of Have Justice Will Travel.

And lets not forget that she already has a lot on her plate, with ABC renewing Scandal for a 3rd season, and Grey’s Anatomy for a 10th – both returning this fall.

Busy, busy, busy… the Shondaland empire continues to grow!
