In the eight-second clip, that’s garnered 89.9K views, Matlock zooms in on an employee eating a quick snack in a small cup before she proceeds to continue working. The video also included the text, “Employees eating and walking around instead of working! Pathetic! Never even washed her hands or nothing. Fkn gross!”

In addition to the text, at the end of the video Matlock says, “Eating instead of working. Perfect.”

Instead of people agreeing with him, many actually disagreed, as it seemed most of the commenters were folks who worked in the fast food industry. Other users understood the multiple reasons why the employee would be eating on the clock.

“Not everyone there has the same job. She probably finished her tasks and is eating rq you never know. They’re not just workers they’re people too,” one user said.

Another commented, “Sometimes people aren’t even given breaks and they eat when they can relax.”

“Tell me you’ve never worked fast food a day in your life w out telling me,” someone else added.

Even a former Chipotle worker chimed in to explain what Matlock likely witnessed.

“When I worked at Chipotle we use [sic] to taste test food in those cups. Rice, chicken, steak, guacamole. We did it with freshly made food to make sure.”
