An artist’s interpretation of Hermione Granger as a black woman has Harry Potter fans swooning.

When most people think of Hermione, they think of actress Emma Watson.

Artist Sophia Channing made the young witch black, and the result is incredible.

Instead of frizzy chestnut hair and pale skin, Hermione has a halo of curls and a milk chocolate hue. Channing’s drawing is getting a lot of love on Twitter:

Sadly, some Potter fans are showing their racist asses.

Channing ain’t sweating it, though.

As a matter of fact, her Hermione might be more realistic.

In 2016, a black woman portrayed Hermione in Broadway's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, another decision that agitated racist readers.

Rowling criticized the drama and pointed out she never specified Hermione’s race.

"I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione 'turned white' — that is, lost color from her face after a shock — that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with," Rowling told The Guardian. "But I decided not to get too agitated about it and simply state quite firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm."
