Dancehall queen Spice praises an Atlanta-based plastic surgeon for saving her life following a near-death experience in the Dominican Republic late last year.

The Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star, 40, took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared details surrounding her health scare and how a medical doctor and celebrity plastic surgeon, Nicholas Jones, was one of many doctors who saved her life after being transported to Atlanta from the Dominican Republic.

“I know my story is long but I’m just so soooo Grateful to still be here,” the So Mi Like It artist said in the Instagram post. “I have to keep showing gratitude 🙏🏾 and this one is a big time THANK YOU to this Surgeon who accepted me in Atlanta when I had my near-death experience in D.R. and my case seemed so hopeless.

She continued, “I walked into his office in Atlanta this morning and he said “Wow you look alive” 😩😩😩…………….Compared to how he saw me in the hospital Last year after I came back to life.”

The 40-year-old revealed she had multiple surgeries in two weeks after returning to Atlanta to treat a sepsis infection she had after developing a hernia.

“So FYI I was taken back to Atlanta directly to the hospital where this surgeon @drnipandtuck did another surgery on me immediately because the Sepsis infection was so bad after the hernia happened, My chest was left opened and he had to do an immediate procedure as I landed. So I basically did 3 surgeries in 2 weeks 😩😩😩 @drnipandtuck Thank you for walking me through this entire ordeal until I’m now healed,” Spice said in the post.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Spice made it very clear that she’s grateful for another chance at life, despite some fans not believing her story.

“I’m not forcing anyone to believe my story , Y’all know where the unfollow button is . Me alone know what I went through and I won’t stop giving GOD ALL THE PRAISE,” the 40-year-old said in the caption of the post.

Last month, Blavity reported that the Jamaican native had shut down pregnancy rumors after a series of Instagram posts left many believing she was pregnant. Instead, she was celebrating a second chance at life after the near-death experience between October and November of 2022.

She said she wanted to be “open, honest and vulnerable” with her fans after a long hiatus from the social platform. The longtime entertainer also addressed the rumors about her health and the mangled plastic surgery procedures she had in the Dominican Republic.

Recently, the God A Bless Me singer announced new music is on the way. She is set to release her new single Queen of Dancehall on April 11.
