It seems like the Golden State Warriors aren't slowing down anytime soon. After beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in a thrilling Finals for the history books, Point Guard Steph Curry and Small Forward Andre Iguodala will host The Players Technology Summit Aug. 14-16 in San Francisco.
The event, sponsored by Bloomberg, will be a great place to exchange ideas will top leaders in business, venture capitalists and athletes.
“Playing in Silicon Valley’s backyard has exposed me to information and resources that I’m excited to share through the Summit,” Curry said in a statement. “Whether you’re thinking about your first move into entrepreneurship or investing, or perhaps already a veteran in the space, it’s about surrounding yourself with the right team and putting in the work to always be improving as a professional.”
Curry's partnership with Iguodala was also a smart business move because Iguodala has forged quite a few connections to venture capitalists in Silicon Valley.
“I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the best in the tech and venture capital business and have put those learnings to work,” Iguodala remarked in the statement. “The Players Technology Summit is about sharing those learnings and relationships and building a lasting impact.”
This isn't the pair's first foray into tech. Curry co-founded a marketing startup called Slyce and invested in Pinterest. While Iguodala has invested in Thrive Global and The Players Tribune.
