As we previously reported, Diddy says he wants to buy the NFL. With as much tension as the NFL has caused surrounding the issues of social justice and race, this sounds like a movement that most of us are down to get behind.

Now, Diddy has gotten even more specific with which team he would like to buy.

According to CBS Sports, team owner, Jerry Richardson, announced he would be putting the team up for sale at the end of the 2017 season following an investigation into Richardson for multiple harassment settlements

If the deal does happen, Diddy would be poised to become the first black NFL owner in American history. After making his announcement on Monday, he was immediately met with a potential partner in the purchase.

Warriors player Steph Curry said he would like to put in his own bid for the Panthers along with Diddy. Curry, who grew up around Charlotte, could help establish the start of an ownership group to purchase the Panthers from Richardson.

If Curry has serious interest in this, he could likely submit a bid somewhere around $25 million after his most recent contract extension which could lead to another barrier-breaking moment by having an active NBA player become a partial owner of NFL team.

Monday morning, Colin Kaepernick chimed in that he also wanted to get involved. Although Diddy's plan is to hire him to play, it seems like he wants to work off the field, too.

This could mean something huge for the culture and for the NFL as a whole. We hope everyone is committed to this cause because we'd love to see it happen.
