The View co-host Sunny Hostin proudly shared on social media that her son, Gabriel, has joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

What did Sunny Hostin say about her son joining the Divine Nine?

On Thursday, Hostin posted a photo of 23-year-old Gabriel alongside two other new members of the Divine Nine fraternity.

“Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. Founded in 1911. Welcome to the Divine 9 my son. #2. WildKard. Deuce Club. Legacy. ❤️,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

Hostin celebrates Gabriel’s milestones and achievements

Hostin has often celebrated Gabriel and his 19-year-old sister, Paloma, for the accomplishments and special milestones in their lives. In 2023, she shared a loving post on Instagram, commemorating Gabriel’s 21st birthday, Blavity reported.

“Happy 21st Birthday to this beautiful soul who first made me a Mom,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “We could not be more proud of the young man you have become. You are a blessing. Thank you for choosing to spend this important milestone with family and chosen family.”

Gabriel graduated from Harvard University in May with a psychology degree focused on wellness and business.

New Rochelle-White Plains Chapter and Kappa Alpha Psi’s legacy

He and his line brothers, Roberto Padilla and Tarique Thompson, are the newest members of the New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter, which was established on Dec. 9, 1972, by 12 fraternity members.

According to the chapter’s website, “The New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated has been dedicated to serving the Westchester/Rockland County communities through the theme of ‘Training for Leadership.'”

Founded in 1911, Kappa Alpha Psi is a historically Black fraternity and a member of the Divine Nine. The organization is the second-oldest historically Black collegiate fraternity, with over 250,000 members, 700 U.S. chapters, and 13 international chapters, according to its website.
