Former President Barack Obama recently blessed us with his annual playlist of favorite songs. While R&B singer SZA was included on Obama's playlist, she was reluctant to believe the news at first.

On Friday, SZA shared her response on Instagram after she found out Obama enjoys her music. “LMAO you are a liar,” she responds when she received the news. “Because I love him and want him to be king.”

My actual reaction vs something really sane n well written lol #brokenclocks

SZA's song "Broken Clocks" from her breakout album CTRL, was one of 21 songs on Obama's playlist of favorite songs from 2017. SZA was in good company with Kendrick Lamar's "Humble," Chance the Rapper's "First World Problems" featuring Daniel Caesar, "Chanel" by Frank Ocean, "Family Feud" by Jay Z featuring Beyonce and Travis Scott's "Butterfly Effect" also making the list. Music by Andra Day, Brandi Carlile, DJ Khaled Mavis Staples and Bruce Springsteen also made the list.

While in office, Obama started sharing his favorite songs of the year and has continued the tradition after his last term. Obama also shared 11 favorite books in 2017 on his Facebook page.
