T.J. Holmes‘ marriage has reached the end of the line as he has officially filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Marilee Fiebig.

The TV personality filed the paperwork on Wednesday, following his reported romance with GMA3 co-host Amy Robach, which came to light in November.

Page Six reports that Holmes and Robach embarked on a secret relationship around March while they were training for the New York City Half Marathon. Both were married to other people at the time but reportedly split from their respective spouses in August.

In November, ABC caught wind of the pair’s romance and decided to take them off the air.

“I’m going to talk about something that has become an internal and an external distraction: The relationship between two of our colleagues,” ABC News President Kim Godwin told staffers, according to CNN. “And so, I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization. And so, for now, I am going to take Amy and TJ off the air, while we figure this out.”

As for Holmes’ relationship with his wife, an insider recently revealed that Fiebig was “blindsided” by news of her husband’s affair, Page Six reports. Though they had been separated for several months when the news anchor’s affair with his colleague was revealed, according to the outlet, Holmes and Fiebig were trying to “work things out.”

“She’s devastated. She had no idea,” the insider told Page Six, adding that the two “were just together for T.J.’s birthday [on Aug. 19].”

Neither Holmes nor Fiebig have publicly commented on the situation.
