I don't know about you guys, but since Hollywood is all about recycling old material these days, I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit Police Detective and Sergeant Jericho Jackson, known as "Action Jackson," back on the big screen again in a sequel.

Yes he's 25 years older now, but so what? If Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenneger, Dolph Lundgren and company can return to action-hero movie glory, while not Carl Weathers?

Don't hold your breath though. This'll have to do in the meantime…

Weathers will be returning to Netflix's (originally aired on FOX) comedy sitcom Arrested Development, reprising his role as, well, Carl Weathers, playing a parody of himself, as a thrifty, mooching Hollywood movie star whom Tobias (played by David Cross) hires to teach him his craft.

Arrested Development originally aired for three seasons from November, 2003 to February, 2006 on FOX. Since cancellation, it has developed a cult following and its popularity has grown – a fourth season is in production and a film is tentatively planned. It follows family man Michael Bluth (played by Jason Bateman) as he tries to keep his family and business from collapsing after his father George is sent to prison for embezzling money. As the family adjusts from riches to rags, Michael helps his mother Lucille keep up appearances, sister Lindsay and brother-in-law Tobias with their failed marriage, son George Michael and niece Maeby through adolescence, and brothers Buster and G.O.B. adjust to working life.

Weathers appeared in episodes during the first and second seasons. And now he'll be returning for the 4th.

"All the old friends are back. Carl Weathers is back,” David Cross told Vulture yesterday.

The long-awaited 4th season is scheduled to debut in the spring on Netflix.
