ABC has chosen its leading lady for the pilot, For Love.

Lex Scott Davis has been tapped in the central role alongside Ethan Peck and Jon Ecker.

The actress, who played Toni Braxton in her Lifetime biopic and was a series regular on CBS’ Training Day reboot, is also starring alongside Trevor Jackson and Jason Mitchell in the Superfly remake which will be released this summer.

The potential series centers on Davis’ journalist Hope Castille, a headstrong, intelligent and emotionally giving, is a hardworking journalist for the Times-Picayune. Experiencing great tragedy but not living with a heavy heart, she’s found love after losing her fiancé five years ago, and is ready to re-start her life with another man. But she will soon discover that something strange stirs in New Orleans, when she receives a clue that will lead her to discovering that magic exists in the shadows of the city.

Luke Arnold, Jon Ecker, Isabella Russo, Rachel Skarsten and Chloe Wepper also star.
