Matchabar announced Wednesday, Aug. 2 that the company will team up with Whole Foods to launch a new Better Energy bottled matcha drink in September with the help of rapper/singer/actor Drake.

The Toronto rapper and trendsetter is one of the company's main investors, according to Food and Wine.

“We feel Drake not only embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of our brand but also our company's ethos 'good things come to those who hustle,'" MatchaBar co-founder Graham Fortgang said in a statement on Wednesday.

Matchabar started off as a green tea shop in New York before expanding to Los Angeles. There are also plans to open up two more shops by the end of the year. But an endorsement from Drake only means more winning in the company's future because everything Drake touches turns to gold.
