Lifetime has revealed that they’ve greenlit a follow-up to their searing documentary series, Surviving: R Kelly.

Titled Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath, the follow-up will showcase interviews from new survivors, as well as psychologists and experts on the infamous case. The additional four hours of the docuseries will also give audiences more insight into the ever-growing saga of the R&B singer who has been charged with a number of sex crimes.

In January, Surviving R. Kelly premiered and was seen by over 26.8 million people. Produced by filmmaker and music writer dream hampton, Tamra Simmons, Jesse Daniels and Joel Karsberg, the documentary clocked in at six episodes and earned an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding International Series or Special. It has led to a louder public indictment and increased national media coverage of R. Kelly’s alleged crimes and brought awareness to the cases of the women.

hampton, Simmons, Daniels and Karsberg will also executive produce The Aftermath alongside Maria Pepin with Bunim Murray Productions and Brie Miranda Bryant with Lifetime. Sudi Khosropur will also serve as the showrunner and co-executive producer.
