As people around the world mourn the death of pop icon Prince, several cities decided to light up landmarks and monuments in purple, his signature color.

The High Roller at the LINQ Promenade (Las Vegas, NV)

Baltimore City Hall

Of course Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis came through with the I-35W Bridge,

The Lowry Avenue Bridge,

And Target Field

Niagara Falls was also lit up in purple lights; however, it was originally lit up for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. Later on, organizers recognized the purple lights for both the Queen AND Prince.
