Though Prince is no longer with us in body, his image shall live on. In 2016, Citrus Heights, California artist Christine Stein posted a picture of her Prince mural on Instagram. The mural depicted his famous luxurious afro as thriving foliage.
“I wanted to pay tribute to him so I did this in two days' time," Stein told KCRA at the time. "Before the Prince mural was up, I had another mural of Bob Ross that made people happy. I hope to make people happy in my neighborhood with this Prince mural, and possibly inspire others to do more public art.”
Cut to April 2018–Stein's mural has leveled-up with the addition of real-life foliage. In a miraculous event of nature proving Prince's spirit is live and kicking, Stein claims someone accidentally dropped mulch near her mural causing the tree blossom with flowers.

“Sometimes it snows in April,” she said in an updated interview with KCRA. “Sometimes it blooms in hope.”
