A second new talk-show hosted by a panel of women will go up against ASPiRE’s Exhale this summer.
Deadline is reporting that Tamera Mowry, Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai, will host a new talk-show titled The Real, which will air in a trial run on Fox-owned stations starting in July.
You’ll recall that ASPiRE, the new television network from Magic Johnson Enterprises, greenlit its first talk show – Exhale – a few weeks ago, with Angela Burt-Murray, Erin Jackson, Issa Rae, Malinda Williams and Rene Syler all hosting.
And just like Exhale, Fox’s new entry into the talk show space has also been compared to existing all-female-hosted talk shows like The View.
Details on The Real are currently being worked out, with a July 8 launch scheduled. And if its summer trial run is successful, it’ll likely get a nationwide booking in the fall – joining an already crowded daytime talk show space, which will see the launch of Queen Latifah’s new talkshow as well.
