Announced earlier this year, TBS ordered 35 new episodes of Tyler Perry's latest sitcom, For Better Or Worse, the ensemble comedy based on characters from his Why Did I Get Married? flicks, starring Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White.

I'm not certain how many additional seasons that will be; the series premiered in November with a 10-episode season. But TBS doesn't say exactly how this new order of 35 episodes will be spread out.

Regardless, another season (at least) of the show is coming, beginning this summer, and all of you folks who've been anxious for the series' return will be happy to know that TBS has set a season 2 kick-off for Friday, July 13 at 9/8c.

The Futon Critic reports exclusively that a marathon of the show's first 10 episodes will air, leading up to the season 2 premiere, starting at 4pm/3pmc on that same day.

Also Tyler Perry's House of Payne will fall back into an earlier time slot, an hour before For Better Or Worse, as 8pm/7pm c.

Some stats worth noting: For Better Or Worse ranked as basic cable’s No.1 sitcom of 2011, AND the No.1 show on all of television amongst African-American adults.

So as much as many of us say we weren't watching, obviously a lot of us are! I'm not, but somebody certainly is.

The TP money machine keeps on churning…
