The Texas Southern University marching band performed Yeat’s 2023 song, “Bigger Thën Everything,” in a video circulated on social media. Over the weekend, music and HBCU fans expressed their shock after watching the moment online.

“The only thing missing in this is the ski mask,” another wrote.

He released “Bigger Than Everything” as the second single from his upcoming album. According to Hot New Hip Hop, the hit track was produced by Bnyx, Shadyboy, and Classy. During his lyrics, Yeat looks back at his past and rise to fame. This is his first release since Afterlyfe, which he dropped in February 2023. As a result of the album’s first-week sales of 54,000 units, it debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Yeat landed his first top-five and highest-charting project on the list with this album.

A considerable year has been in store for Yeat after performing at the Wireless Festival in July. On Drake’s new album, For All The Dogs, the 23-year-old featured on the song “IDGAF.” The song debuted at number one in Canada, on the Billboard Global 200, and at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. He also sealed the year as Toronto rapper’s NOCTA partnership with Nike.
