The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Chance Perdomo has booked one of the lead roles in the upcoming, untitled college-set spinoff of The Boys–Shadow and Act has confirmed with sources.

Perdomo is replacing Shane Paul McGhie in Amazon’s Prime Video series, after he departed the project with another previously cast lead, Aimee Carrero. The show has gone in another direction creatively, and that, along with other factors including time commitment, led the two to exit. Because of this, Perdomo is not playing exactly the same character McGhie was cast as.

As of now, his CAOS co-star, Jaz Sinclair is also attached, as well as Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips and Reina Hardesty.

The spinoff is “set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International)” and is described as an “irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.

It is from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film. Craig Rosenberg is writing the pilot and set as showrunner/EP. Rosenberg, Eric Kripke; Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver; and Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty are executive producers. Ennis and Robertson also serve as executive producers.
