Keiynan Lonsdale (The Flash) has already made his mark in so many ways, including portraying the first ever black Wally West, aka Kid Flash, on the CW hit.

Now, he’s getting vulnerable in a powerful way, recently coming out via his Instagram account:

The actor and musician spoke on his sexuality in a poignant post about the various aspects of his identity noting, “I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming.”

Essentially, he was tired of “faking” it and wanted to showcase himself as he actually is.

A couple of months ago, our very own Ira Hobbs exclusively spoke with Lonsdale about The Flash, his Twitter timeline, his relationship with the trans community and sexual identity.

“It's new for me. It's something I'm trying to educate myself on. We need to be fighting for people's rights to be who they are, and to be treated equally, and to feel safe. That's the main thing,” noted The Flash star. “I can't speak on behalf of anyone, I just wanted to let my followers know, for any of them that may be trans, that Kid Flash thinks you're cool. And that I respect you and appreciate you just as much as I would anyone. Just hoping that something that simple could have some sort of positive affect on anyone who feels a little let down by society.”

His coming out was, of course, met with the beautiful embrace of Twitter:
